Yesterday the new Mark Wahlberg movie ‘Ted’ had his big premiere in Amsterdam with some Dutch celebrities and best of all Mr. Wahlberg himself was there also! Me and some friends had to be there so we had a great night at the movies. Here’s my review about the movie.
When John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) is a little boy he doesn’t have any friends. One year he get’s a teddy bear for Christmas who becomes his best and only friend. He calls him Ted (Seth MacFarlane) and he becomes his thunder buddy who keeps him safe from the thunder at night . One night before he goes to sleep he wishes that Ted will become alive so they could be best friends forever and always. His dream comes true and Ted becomes famous because he’s the first and only teddy bear who’s really alive.
John and Ted stay together as best friends and life with a real living extremely inappropriate teddy bear comes with a lot of craziness. Smoking pot, drinking, having fun with the ladies, most of all just having fun. When John is 36 years old and working at a car rental place, he’s been dating his girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis) for four years already she thinks he needs to get serious. She doesn’t want to live with a guy and his teddy bear anymore. Ted needs to move out. Because John and Ted can’t live without each other it’s not an easy task for them and things don’t turn out like they want to.
Then there’s also a psycho Ted fan who wants to have the teddy bear for his son, Lori’s boss who wants to be his boyfriend and their hero Flash Gordon also shows up.
A crazy and hilarious story about a guy and his extremely inappropriate teddy bear with the most funny but also crude humour. I laughed through out the whole movie, but some jokes were really on the edge. I really loved it and liked the sense of humour. When you like Seth MacFarlane’s (Family Guy) humour you will love this movie.
Just go see it for yourself and check out the trailer here:
