Everyone must have heard the song ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ a million times last year. In Holland it was the biggest song of the year and radios still play it every day. It’s a song that sticks in your head and never leaves. This song is from Australian/Belgian singer ‘Gotye’ who has become very popular because of it. This concert sold out within days and even tonight people were still trying to get tickets.
The stage is filled with many different instruments which makes us very curious about what’s going to happen tonight. When Wouter (Gotye’s real name) comes on stage he starts jammin on his drumset and uses different microphones. It’s exciting to watch him use so many different instruments in one song. After a few songs his in-ears stop working so he starts cursing and jams with the band so his crew fixes the problem and we still get entertained.
His show really reminds us of a Peter Gabriël concert. He’s got the same sound and his voice is very similar. It’s nice and almost relaxing to listen to it. The only bad thing about tonight is that there is not that much interaction from the crowd. They seemed very mellow. Other than that it was a great performance especially since we only know one of his songs.

The “Bronte” video is superb. Just saw him @ Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA. I’m sure we’ll be listening / watching him for years to come. He truly is brilliant. Love his voice, songs and his diversity in music. Can’t stop listening to his music. I’m stuck on Gotye 😉
And he also seems like a really nice guy!
